Chung-Lin Chang Silver Lining This MV wants to express a positive attitude towards life, such as overcoming ups and downs, or finding your way in darkness. Sometimes people face many obstacles, and sometimes pressures in life strike you down, but if you keep trying, there will be a silver lining at the end. Idea The MV starts out with the dawn and with the notes of the guitar, the surroundings start to clear up, gradually exposing the song’s idea of a silver lining. The long shot filming method corresponds with the casual flow of the melody. Process The seemingly simple film actually uses a lot of post-production techniques, just to make it look like a sunrise and uncut MV. In fact, while shooting, it would be easier to actually take a long shot! Result In the first half, slow motion processing was used to make the subject look carefree and correspond with the mood. For the second half, normal speed was used to correspond with the guitar playing. It took a lot of effort to blend the two pictures seamlessly. Ellie Liu Director/ Screenwriter
